Bad Idea Factory

We’re gone
For the today
To get nothing done
We’re tired
Conversations
Make us weary
Put in the stuff our heads turn
But then again its are work and that’s something
You’ve got to admit
We are formed
Like trouble magnets
We might look
All caught up
We just got a fifth
For hours a day we get nothing done
But then again so what its our lives that’s something

Genius
09:09
|
|||
They grew up on opposite sides of the road
They were both genius
Cause they knew stuff
People didn’t tell them
Wearing each other’s clothes
Cause high school sucks
They would move on
And up
They sat on opposite sides of the room from the tools at lunch
They would create
Where people wouldn’t tell them
And on big campus days
They blabbered all
The dreams they had
The cities that would fall
They were atypical in certain ways from country kids
They spoke different words
They took acid trips
Better got taken by the less savant
Who was Praising the polish of a modern hallway
Blazing with nothing in a bathroom stall
Couple of geniuses had lost it all
They won all the awards at early art shows
But the middle state held them
They needed to go
On the road to angel cities In a beat hatchback
They could always go back
But they would never want that
Part time jobs became long run plans
Settled into the familiar check in hand
But Party life’s tough
When you cant afford drugs
Born the wrong way
Never had too much to say
Born out the wrong hole
Never had nowhere to go

All I Know
03:30
|
|||
All I know I know for sho
To keep nmy foot in open doors
The magic’s safe for those to speak
Who aren’t afraid of anything
The site of all these buildings
It makes me feel so guilty
That humans make these thing
And I’ve made nothing
The world turns faster these days
Deciding what regime to take
It puts me in the same old place
With my hands raised
What I say to you is true
From a certain point of view
What I do draws attention to me
Secrets of my infamy
You take out all your reasons
Look at them closely
We don’t know the score
To far awy from the playing
I go through this and more
A one man point in the web
You say we should be grander
I cant see nothing ahead
I've planned through the dream to make a difference
The numbers keep breaking me down
I’ll try to describe it to my kids and
I hope that I wont let them down
Cause I’m under water

Weird Load

Caroline
With issues so hard to define
You’ve got your stories
And I’ve got mine
This is
The reason why
We don’t get along
Caroline
Caroline
Time passes by so fast
Looking back on it
Don’t you feel bad?
We both lament
The breakdowns inside
That complicate the differences
Between you and I
This is
The reason why
We don’t get along
Caroline
You play your games
And I’ll play mine
We wont get along
Caroline

Ghost Town
03:58
|
|||
We just need some time to grow
See all the same things it will take a toll
I was indifferent
Per say
Hope for a little light there’s nothing to find
Want a straight opinion 'nother hill to climb
I was fed up
With getting no help
The same things come up
Over all of my friends
Always worried bout the shit talking cretons
And I was tired
I guess I’d grown up
For all of us around
Who could make this a better town
But we get nothing done
Tear down each other to climb up on the rubble
Basically there’s two types
Those who love art and the junkies for the night life
I was unimpressed, with the spread
We wear on and reunite
The next interesting bands got 3 shows tonight
They go to them all
And watch the same songs
By the end of the night they can slur sing along
I got a difference on the inside of my head
If I’ve done it before it’s become boring
It takes a little more to get me outta the door
Besides who can endure these noise shows anymore?
For all of those astounded
How is anything fun?
Looking at each other
Praying that somehow we’ll be found important
Ghost town
Won’t be coming back no more
I know my place

Watershed, But Metaphors
06:53
|
|||
Miles to go
Staring through dirty windows
Destination head
Aligning this man’s progression
The past erased
A little for every mile displaced
Cause I was
Born for this ladder life
Said I better not go home with my own ideas intact tonight
But I was so assured by my presence that I demure
I am important
I am important
Born a curse
Stranded and worse
Guided all wrong
By similar wicked ones
I know
Which way this wind blows
Forgive us our mistakes
Less we forget to change
Cause we were born for this ladder
Said you better go home with your own ideas intact tonight
But you were so assured of the placement that you deserved
And you thought I am the one, I am the one
And only the strong survive in this razor life
Everything and all is possible
So you best change your best play
And the greatest of you’s the aim
Each and every motherfuckin day
So you had better be almost omniscient
Almost the one
